Call for Artists!

The Six Chowhouse, located in the heart of Old Town Calabasas in the West Valley, is named after six Northern California artists during the 1920's prohibition era who joined together to create the art they wanted to make, despite the fashions of their time. They were art world outliers who wouldn’t take “no” for an answer and sought to create their own style. This idea of forging new creative territory was the seed of the idea for Art@TheSix.

Our venue has several large, flat screen monitors in the main dining area, making it an exceptional space for showcasing visual artists. Our monthly exhibitions run every day, from opening to closing, and are viewed by hundreds of patrons every week. Each artist is displayed with their artworks, name, bio picture, artist statement and weblinks in the exhibitions. The artists are then listed on the Art page of our website, with links for patrons to continue to contact their favorite artists after the shows have culminated.

The artists who have contributed their works to these exhibitions include painters, sculptors, photographers, printmakers, and even MOTH storytellers. They are very exciting, well-known and dynamic members of the Los Angeles art scene who show in prominent galleries and publications. Recently we even created an exhibition of renowned LA tattoo artists. We honor excellence and welcome all Los Angeles, San Fernando Valley and Conejo Valley area creatives to submit their work to be considered for one of our upcoming art shows.

To submit, please send your Instagram and Website links to the exhibition curator at sixandstone@gmail.com. If your work fits the style of one of our upcoming exhibitions, the curator will contact you with further details to complete the submission process.
